Thoughts on Starting out 2016 Right

by Carrie Adorna January 04, 2016

The New Year is a time for reflection and to create a better you. It doesn’t have to be filled with big changes, rather embracing the aspects of your life that you love and make you proud. Make those good things the highlight of 2016 and minimize the things you want to change. By focusing on the positive you have a better chance of being successful.

These are two ways to focus on your positives:

Love thy self.

I love my waist. I love the back of my neck. I love my crooked pinkie fingers that match my grandmother’s fingers. I love the color of my hazel eyes. I love my hair-it is soft and easy to manage. I love my pale complexion.

This may sound conceited, but in reality it gets me through days when I despise my knees, hate my thighs, and think my arms are too thick. Focusing on the positive can be life changing. I challenge you to make this your 2016 resolution.

I am….

I am amazing. I am fun. I am____ . Filling in the blank with a positive will put a smile on your face immediately and can be the start to a new you!

With much love,

~CarrieRae
